Downloading & Installing the Software
The first thing you need to do is download and install the Full Tilt poker software. It’s pretty easy to find out where to go for this, as the download button is a big shiny thing on the homepage. If you happen to be on a different page you can still access the download from the main navigation menu.
The software is 22Mb in size, so it can take a few minutes to download - especially on a lame connection like mine. But this is fairly normal. Once the software opens, the first thing you have to do is register for an account. The cool part about that was getting to pick an avatar (a graphical image that represents you at the table). They have over 70 different avatars to choose from and apparently each one has 4 different expressions of mood.
I chose the Pirate one cos I’m a closet pirate fan - aarrrrrrr.

For security verification reasons, you need to get a validation code form the email they send you after you sign up. So if you want to play, make sure you use a real email address.
Once you put the validation code in you are done. And ready to start playing some poker at Full Tilt.
Conclusion
Nice and simple to find the download, sign up process is very short and fast - which I like. You don’t have to fill in any address details at this stage (only when you decide to deposit and play for real money) - so it’s nice that they let you in the door with a minimum of fuss. Impressive and smooth. 10/10
