Chances are you’ve already seen Full Tilt on TV. If not, I’d like to show an example of one of their ad campaigns to show how slick they are.
You might be asking, why do I care how good their advertising is? Well, poker today is much more than just a game. It’s a highly saught after brand image and lifestyle indicator. In short, poker is cool. And being associated with the smarter and more sexy brands has a noticeable knock on effect.
Phil Ivey Poker Face Commmercial
I’d play with Full Tilt based soley on this advert. In fact that’s why I’m reviewing them first. Any company that shows a sense of humor is going to get my vote. After all,
poker is supposed to be 3 basic things. Fun, sexy, and a little mysterious.
Clonie Gowen is good
This one shows their more typical black & white style, but still throws in some humor. It features several of Full Tilt’s stable of pros (Clonie Gowen, Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson and Phil Gordon, and shows of Ferguson throwing a playing card through a carrot.
Full Tilt’s Star Power
Full Tilt is the undeniable leader when it comes to Star Power. Poker Stars had a great run of getting their sponsored players to win the WSOP, but that only really gave them
3 main pro players. And none of them was particularly cool - they went more for the everyday angle (which has a lot of merit). Full Tilt went for straight up cool, picking
players with a diverse range of personalities.
Here are some of the better known from their player list:
