On Saturday night, the “Jovial Gent” Yevgeniy Timoshenko won the 2009 World Poker Classic WPT Championship.
This was already his third live victory, after posting successes at the Irish Poker Open and main event at the APT Macau. Yevgeniy has had 6-figure cashes before but the $2,149,960 he claimed for first place by far outweighed his last largest payday since joining the World Poker Tour.
