I’m lead to believe that Cyndy Violette has cosmic forces at work within her. She floats in and out of the periphery of the poker world with the subtlety and influence of the lunar cycle. She began, like many of the great poker players, by competing recreationally within her family growing up.

The universe conspired, it seems, to draw her into the fold incrementally by way of dealer jobs at the poker and blackjack tables. This was the stage where she began to take notice of people and their mannerisms, their reactions to winning and losing. When she was of legal age and the gods issued her permission to take the next step, Cyndy Violette began playing poker.
She was destined to succeed, to make an impact. In 1984, Cyndy cashed enough in a poker tournament to launch her poker career, a career which would begin with a $74,000 top prize in a 7 Stud tournament at the Golden Nugget—the biggest tournament prize ever won by a woman at the time.
Her career came to its head at the 2004 World Series of Poker, when Cyndy won a bracelet in the 7 Stud hi/lo tournament and became one of three women to win a bracelet in an open tournament that year. For Cyndy, this degree of recognition and validation is what she is most proud of in her poker career.
Cyndy’s interest in a plethora of metaphysical interests lead her to study various sources, perhaps subconsciously paying homage to them. Her foremost concern, save her family’s well being, is to stay physically healthy and mentally alert. She studies sources and topics as diverse as Kabbalah, Feng Shui, Self-Realization and Self-Awareness. Cyndy of course credits positive thinking and visualization to her superior play. Her website acts as a virtual shrine to the total conglomeration of her passions, offering clothing of her own design, symbolic and self-elevating phrases on hand protecting stones, and a variety of media aimed to help others realize their poker potential in the same way that she does.
In the most natural sense of the word, Cyndy Violette is most certainly a poker guru.
